The Fabric Page provides information about a specific fabric.
Note that here, we assume that the fabric being described is one that is for sale on the internet by some third-party vendor. It is also possible to view the Fabric page for a fabric in your stash. For fabrics in your stash, the Fabric Page is slightly different.
The exact appearance of this page may vary, depending on the shape and size of your device. For example, on a smart phone, the page might look like this:
On a larger desktop window, the same page might look like this:
In any case, the page has the same basic elements:
a. Home - Returns to the Fabric Fisher home page.
b. Fabric Name - The name of the Fabric, as shown on the original vendor page.
c. Fabric Details - Detailed information about the fabric; see Fabric Details.
d. Fabric Swatches - Thumbnail images of fabrics that are similar to the one at the top of this Fabric Page. Fabric Fisher typically displays about 35 of the closest matching fabrics. Each fabric is one that can be purchased through some third-party vendor on the internet. Clicking on a fabric swatch will open the Fabric Page for that fabric. You can click from Fabric Page to Fabric Page, if needed, to find something that is as close to what you are looking for as possible.
e. Basic Colors - At the bottom of the page you will find a Color Bar, showing up to 18 Basic Colors. (These are the same colors displayed in the Basic Colors section of the Browse by Color page.) The actual number of colors displayed varies based on the size of the device or window you are using.
f. More Colors - At the far right of the color bar is a button that dispays the Color Picker dialog, allowing you to choose one of over 2,500 colors to be matched. When this button is clicked from a Color Page, the dialog initially shows colors that are similar to the one matched on the page. Choosing a similar but slightly different color may give a Color Page with different matches.
g. Collapse Button - Clicking this button hides most of the information at the top of the page. On small devices such as a smart phone, this will let you see more of the fabric swatches without scrolling.
g. Help - Opens this help page.
At the top of the Fabric Page, you will find detailed information about the fabric. On smaller devices such as smart phones, some of the information may be hidden under a separate tab.
