Tips for Great Fabric Photos

To get the best results from Fabric Fisher, you want the photos that you take to capture the colors in your fabric accurately. The best way to do that is to ensure that your photos are taken in a well-lit area.

Bright white light is best, but glare or shadows are to be avoided.

The Photo Preview displayed in the Camera dialog is usually an accurate representation of the colors that Fabric Fisher will see when the photo is uploaded. If, for example, the whites look washed out or grey, you are not going to get an accurate representation of your fabric.

If conditions prevent you from capturing the colors in your fabric accurately, all is not lost. Using the Custom Search dialog, you can specify a subset of the colors to be matched, or even adjust colors to find similar ones that better represent what you are looking for.
