At the top of the Fabric Page is
detailed information
about the fabric, extracted by Fabric Fisher from the vendor's web site.
The main tab looks something like this:
You will typically see:
A thumbnail image of the fabric. Clicking on the thumbnail
will open the original catalog page for this fabric on the
vendor's web site. The catalog page opens in a different window or tab in your web browser,
to indicate that the catalog page is not part of the Fabric Fisher web site.
If you open multiple catalog pages from the same vendor,
they will open in the same vendor tab.
The name of the vendor who is offering this fabric for sale.
(In the above example, the vendor name is "Missouri Star Quilt Company".)
Clicking on the vendor name behaves the same way as if you had clicked
on the thumbnail image.
The size of the fabric, if provided by the vendor.
For fabric that is sold by the yard, this is usually 44 inches;
for wide quilt backing, it is often 108 inches.
In some cases, we may assume 44" for fabrics that are
sold by the yard. If the precise size is important to you
when purchasing fabric, it is always best to check with the vendor.
The availability of the fabric from the vendor. In most cases,
the fabric will be "In Stock", as Fabric Fisher tries only to display
fabrics that are currently in stock. However, Fabric Fisher only checks the availability
every fifteen minutes or so. It is therefore possible for Fabric Fisher to think that a fabric is in stock
when it has in fact recently sold out. Or, Fabric Fisher may recognize that the fabric has sold out,
but may not have had a chance to update its pages.
The current price of the fabric on the vendor's web site.
Again, Fabric Fisher only checks the price every fifteen minutes or so,
so it is possible that the price displayed here is different
from the actual price of the fabric on the vendor's catalog page.
Fabric Fisher makes every attempt to display accurate information about each fabric.
However, this information is displayed for your shopping convenience only;
the vendor's catalog page for this fabric is always the final authority
for all information about its fabrics.
